🌱 Something new is growing at Haven of Hope…
Over the past few weeks, our team has been hard at work preparing for something that Jim has dreamed about for a long time.Â
We’re building a simple aquaponics system, a way of raising fish while growing vegetables together in a natural, sustainable cycle.
Why?
Because every meal we can grow ourselves means more resources that can be invested directly into caring for our babies and their families.
This first system is a pilot project on our own compound. We’re learning, training, making mistakes, and preparing everything carefully before the first fish ever arrive.Â

Our hope is that one day this won’t just help feed the babies and staff at Haven of Hope, but that it could also become a model that families in our community and families of our babies can replicate to strengthen their own food security.
For now, we’re laying foundations.
Preparing tanks.
Installing plumbing.
Learning together.
Trusting God with each next step.
We can’t wait to share the journey with you.
Caring for children also means thinking about tomorrow.
