As we love and care for the babies in HOH, we also strive to connect with their families and the community around us.
One of the ways we connect with community is by going on home visits to foster and adoptive family homes. Some are nearby, some are more remote. All are special and a joy to visit.
This gives us a chance to follow up and check on our babies and their families while connecting with their community. We have worked with many of these families as they prepared to take their baby home. We come alongside families in different ways. Developing an income generating business, building homes, helping secure their compound…these are a few ways we help. By going on home visits, we get to follow up on their progress in sustainability with the bonus of getting to see our babies growing and thriving in their very own homes.
Supporting HCO does not only benefit our babies, but more importantly, is supports our babies in their families. That is the goal, the point of it all….to see babies growing and thriving in their own homes!
